In this podcast, Steven shared information on so many terms and topics. He also corrected me during the podcast when I made some distinction between public schools and charter schools. Of course, they are both public.

Steven has a great deal of experience with expeditionary learning. His passion for this began when he was an Upward Bound instructor, and then has extended through his leadership world.

We also discussed the Hope project, and the Hope Learning survey. This survey was designed a number of years ago for use in schools. It has morphed over the years, but currently is still used widely. Designed for students and staff, this 10 to 15-minute assessment measures core elements of "hope" in the classroom: Autonomy, Belongingness, Engagement, Goal Orientation, and Efficacy.
